1. Report Your Flood Damage

Residents affected by flooding should begin by calling:

Calling this number is important for residents who need assistance now. It also helps document the extent of the damage in Hamilton County and may be essential to eligibility for future FEMA assistance or relief.
Hamilton County Emergency Management will also be conducting damage reviews of affected properties.

3. Free Supplies and Household Assistance

Assistance is reserved for flood victims and may include:
- Cleaning supplies and tools
- Clothing, coats, shoes, and boots
- Requests for household goods, furniture, and major-appliance replacement

4. Property Reassessment and Possible Tax Relief
Property owners whose homes or other property sustained significant physical damage may qualify for a reassessment through the Hamilton County Assessor’s Office.
Important: Any reassessment or tax relief would be retroactive to the January 1, 2026 assessment date and would affect property-tax bills payable in 2027. It does not provide immediate relief on this year’s tax bill.

Residents should document their losses carefully, including photographs, insurance claims, repair estimates, EMA damage assessments, and any other evidence showing the extent of the damage.
